INTRO / DESCRIPTION

Our pre-purchase inspections are designed to give you a clear, practical understanding of a vessel’s mechanical and onboard systems before purchase.

We focus on real-world condition and function, not just surface-level observations.

This includes inspection of:

  • Engines and generators

  • Fuel, water, and waste systems

  • Bilge pumps and plumbing

  • Low voltage DC Electrical systems and charging

  • Steering and driveline components

  • Deck systems such as windlasses and lighting

This is a non-invasive inspection, meaning no dismantling or strip-down is carried out. The goal is to identify obvious issues, risks, and maintenance requirements.

ENGINE INSPECTION NOTE (IMPORTANT SECTION)

Engine inspections include:

  • Cold start (where possible)

  • Visual condition (hoses, belts, mounts, corrosion, engine hours)

  • Service history review (if available)

  • General running observations

We do not carry out:

  • Compression testing

  • Injector testing

  • Boost pressure testing

  • Scanning for engine fault logs

  • Internal inspection

  • Heat exchanger removal

  • Any invasive testing

This inspection is an indication of condition only, not a guarantee.

Pricing

Our pricing is simple and transparent, based on vessel length.

$17 per foot (excl. GST)
Minimum charge applies.

Examples:

  • 30ft vessel → $510

  • 40ft vessel → $680

  • 50ft vessel → $850

Travel away from our home base of Hobsonville Marina may incur additional charges.
