One of our clients up in Gulf Harbour was having some issues with their Volvo Penta TAMD31a engine. It was decided that the best course of action was to extract the engine so It could be torn down for inspection.
It was a challenging extraction as the engine had to be lifted from its engine mounts to some blocks, midships before the HIAB crane then moved positions to get the engine out the saloon door. A tight squeeze. We always enjoy these challenges. We haven’t had a suborn engine win yet, we always beat it.
